On Friday, February 14th, the staff, residents, and visitors at Signature HealthCARE of Terre Haute enjoyed many fun projects and events that day. Our day began at 7:00 am with blowing up balloons for “Happy Grams”. At 9:00 am we began blowing up balloons for the dining room and our “Share Your Heart” silent auction began. We blew up 250 balloons; we are surprised that the building didn’t float away! We decorated our main dining room in preparation for lunch; it was a lovely sight, lots of pink and red everywhere! We had a barber shop quartet serenade our ladies and gentleman in three of our dining rooms with love songs. At 2:00 pm we had a Valentine’s Day party on our Alzheimer’s unit; we had a king and queen, and way too many goodies to eat! At 6:30 pm we had a Valentine’s Day party with live music provided by “EZ Street” jazz combo, a king and queen, and more goodies to eat. Everyone appeared to have so much fun that day!
The “Happy Grams” and “Share Your Heart” silent auction were fundraisers for the Alzheimer’s Association. Our facility raised over $650.00 that day. Our team captains, Sheryl Robinson, LPN, ADON and Julie Compton, LPN, MDSC, along with other staff volunteers, did a wonderful job, and their hard work paid off!
Thanks to all of the Quality of Life team, Dietary, and other staff member for helping to make this a memorable day.
